We’ve created safe places—homes where children and young mothers coming from the streets can finally breathe, rest, and just be children again.

Within those walls, they begin a sacred journey of healing as we walk beside them through their pain, their stories, and their scars. What begins in brokenness becomes a beautiful process of restoration as they discover their true identity and purpose in this world.

Our care is holistic, because healing must reach every part of who they are. We nurture each child physically, emotionally, socially, educationally, and spiritually—helping them grow strong in body, mind, and spirit.

REINTERGRATION

The best place for any child is home—safe in the arms of their own family. That’s why reconciliation and reintegration are at the heart of everything we do.

We walk patiently through each step, ensuring a child is ready to return, a home is safe, and a family is prepared to welcome them back. Because restoration takes time—and love never rushes the process.

Once reunited, we equip the family with six months of income-generating support and walk closely alongside them, making sure the child stays home, stays safe, and stays loved.

Some children can’t safely return home. For them, Make Your Mark provides family-style homes—places filled with stability, laughter, and belonging.

Here, they go to school, learn responsibility, help with chores, and play freely in their neighborhood. In every moment, we’re preparing them not just to survive, but to thrive—to one day lead strong families and impact their communities with love and purpose.

But we can’t do this alone. Each home needs partners to keep the doors open and the lights on. YOU can sponsor a home for $1,740 a month or a child for $175 a month—helping provide safety, education, and a future filled with hope.

Kalkidan Center

Empowering Young woman

The Kalkidan Center carries a name close to our hearts. It was named after the founders’ daughter, who was born on the streets of Ethiopia. Kalkidan means promise—and it stands as Make Your Mark’s promise to protect, restore, and empower young women who have endured unthinkable hardship.

Here, girls ages 16–24 begin a new chapter—one filled with safety, dignity, and opportunity. Through counseling, education, and skill development, they are equipped to become confident young women and loving mothers who can stand on their own, provide for their families, and step boldly into the futures God has written for them.

We believe the best way to rescue a child from the streets is to reach them before they ever get there. That’s why we go straight to the source—walking alongside impoverished families and providing the support they need to keep their children safe, fed, and at home.

Through this program, children receive educational support, counseling, and spiritual care, while parents are equipped with business training, seed money, and mentoring to build sustainable income. We also offer family counseling and teach God-centered values that strengthen marriages and restore the heart of the home.

Mobilize

Empowering Ethiopians to Care for Orphans

Make Your Mark Global believes lasting change begins within Ethiopia itself. That’s why, in collaboration with the DEBO Alliance—a network we helped establish—we’ve spent the last ten years equipping Ethiopian leaders, pastors, and families to become part of the solution for vulnerable children.

Each year, more than 600 people gather at the Ethiopian Orphan Summit, where hearts are stirred, churches are mobilized, and families are inspired to open their homes through domestic adoption and foster care.

Beyond the summit, MYM continues the work year-round—hosting workshops and partnering with local churches to make orphan care a central part of the Gospel lived out in Ethiopia. Together, we are raising up a generation of Ethiopian families who say yes to God’s call to care for orphans.

THE POST FAMILY HOME

After 13 years living and serving in Ethiopia, Trent and Carmen Post, the founders of Make Your Mark Global, have returned to the United States with a renewed vision—to sustain, strengthen, and expand the mission that began on the streets of Addis Ababa.

During their years in Ethiopia, they opened their home and hearts to 15 foster children, walking through both the beauty and the hardship of restoration firsthand. Today, those children are grown—building families of their own and thriving in their relationships with God.

Now, Trent and Carmen are sharing that story across the U.S., casting vision and inviting others to join the movement—to ensure the work continues, more lives are rescued, and more families are restored for generations to come.
